Separate the frame from the commercial scope

A primary frame, secondary framing, purlins and girts can be priced as a shell while foundation interface, insulation and installation stay with the buyer. Write whether the request is shell, delivered, installed or turnkey. A lower shell number is not the same commercial result as a turnkey number, so those lines stay apart when factories reply.

Name the design basis the factory should use

Ask each respondent to state basic wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load and seismic design category, plus the code edition the authority having jurisdiction uses. A sample brief might record 115 mph, Exposure C, 20 psf ground snow and seismic design category B. Those figures are buyer inputs for one site, not a rating published by this desk.

Request calculations, anchor reactions, AWS D1.1 welding records if welding is in the offer, and a statement of whether IAS AC472 or ISO 9001 applies to the plant that would fabricate this system.
