The sequence we actually run

  1. Brief

    Capture occupancy, footprint, eave height, bay spacing, clear span, and whether the building is permanent, relocatable or temporary.

  2. Loads

    Record buyer-supplied wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load and seismic design category. If a number is missing, it stays missing.

  3. Scope split

    Mark shell, delivered, installed and turnkey as separate commercial boundaries, including foundation interface and utilities.

  4. Document request

    Ask the supplier which calculations, coating specs and plant quality statements apply to the quoted rigid frame and the project jurisdiction.

  5. Normalization

    Line up quantity, destination, currency and exclusions before anyone ranks a figure. The buyer accepts or rejects the alternative.

Keep scope labels

A purlin package is not described as a finished building. Secondary framing stays named as secondary framing.

Flag code gaps

IBC, IRC, ASCE 7 and AISC 360 are listed only as documents to match to the site. We do not declare compliance.

Leave the stamp

Structural acceptance stays with the engineer the buyer appoints. We do not seal calculations.

Avoid borrowed proof

Customer counts, acreage and certificates published by other companies stay with those companies.

Record preferences

A premium, mid-range, budget or undecided supplier preference is stored as a buyer note, not as a grade we verified.

Three limits follow from that role. First, without a jurisdiction we cannot talk about code compliance. Second, a transport envelope that blocks a volumetric module is a physical limit, not a negotiation point. Third, thermal transmittance and fire-resistance rating are properties of the assembly that gets quoted, and a different panel changes them. Optional budget in USD is either per building or for the whole order. It is a target, not a promised result.

If your team already has an erector, say so. The quotation can stop at a delivered shell. If the site has no local crane, the brief should ask who provides the crane lift plan. Those are purchasing choices. They are not a claim that BeamSpan Sourcing employs erection crews.
